Relaxed, Inviting, Deliciously Different

By day, Amarelo is a relaxed, welcoming café where you can slow down and savour the moment. From croissants and pastries to homemade cakes and savoury or sweet tartlets, everything is made with care and a touch of creativity.

We serve only the very best freshly ground Brazilian coffee, alongside a selection of teas, fresh tropical juices, and a wide range of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Join us for lunch between 12 and 2pm, when we serve a small but exciting menu that reflects our South American roots — full of bold flavours and unexpected ingredients. On Sundays, don’t miss our signature rotisserie chicken, cooked low and slow in true Brazilian style. Enjoy it here with a glass of wine or pre-order for takeaway and bring the feast home.

Whether you're taking a break from the day or meeting friends for a bite, we have the perfect spot for you. Sit out front under the canopy and watch the world go by on Market Street, or unwind in our peaceful internal courtyard, with your choice of sun or shade.

For cyclists, walkers, and bikers, Amarelo is an ideal pit stop — with secure space for bicycles and a warm, friendly atmosphere to recharge before you’re back on the trail.

The evening menu is designed entirely in-house by chef-owner Márcia, whose Brazilian heritage and classical culinary training come together in a style that is both original and deeply rooted in tradition.

Each dish celebrates the vibrant flavours of Northeastern Brazil, brought to life with European finesse. Expect bold, expressive cooking where tropical fruits, native spices, and carefully sourced ingredients meet French and Mediterranean techniques — resulting in food that is colourful, flavourful, and full of character.

Simply place your order online in the morning, and collect during our lunch hours. Choose from a selection of light bites, vibrant salads, flavour-packed wraps, and a rotating menu of seasonal specials — all prepared with the same care and quality you’ll find in-house.
